- List the goals of the WSU CPPS Rural Health Initiative
- Describe approaches to increasing access to pharmacy care in rural communities
- Define interprofessional practice and education (IPE)
- Recognize the core competencies for interprofessional practice
- Discuss the role of interprofessional practice and education in supporting growth of the health care workforce
Session Description:
In this session we will share an overview of the WSU College of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences’ (CPPS) new Rural Health Initiative with an emphasis on describing the development of pathways into the health professions. Additionally, we will provide background on the role of interprofessional education and practice in supporting the healthcare workforce through wellness, job satisfaction, and professional development.
